On Sunday, 12-09-2012, Walters was baptized. Dan and I met Walters at the gate to the church 3 weeks ago. He wanted to know when church was and if he could come. We gave him the times and invited him to atten the next day. He showed up early, dressed in a suit and a smile. We introduced him to the Elders and they took it from there. Walters stayed for the whole 3 hours, attended the Gemeinde Essen, and took a Book of Mormon to start to read. The Elders had an appointment with him the next day. Walters said he had been baptized but he didn't feel the spirit and did he need to be baptized again? Elder Johnson helped with several joint teaches with Walters. He soon had a baptism date set. We found out he actually lives right down the street from the Lankwitz building and should be attending there. The Lankwitz ward was invited to take part in his baptism. Several members of the Lankwitz ward came even though they had never met Walters. He will be confirmed a member of the church on Sunday in Lankwitz. He has asked us to attend his confirmation and Elder Johnson to stand in the circle. We will miss seeing him in our ward, but know he will be fine in the Lankwitz ward.
We are so happy to call you ours! What a great example you are setting for us and for your grandkids. We love you!
